Sultry Saturdays: A Burlesque Workshop with Miss Patience Plush

Kick off the new year with a celebration of self-love, joy, and movement! Join Miss Patience Plush on Saturday, January 4th, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, for an All-Levels Burlesque Workshop (suitable for beginners). Yes!!! We said ALL LEVELS!!

Whether you’re brand new or have some experience, this workshop welcomes everyone to come explore the beautiful art of burlesque and its liberating impact on our self love journeys together. 

By the end of the class, you’ll have the opportunity to perform the short routine you’ve learned and, if you choose, capture the moment on your own device to take home.

Dress in what makes you feel comfortable and confident, and that lets you move freely. Also, make sure to bring an item of clothing you’re ready to take off. We respectfully ask that genitals stay covered and if you're peeling a bra, that nipples remain covered for this class.

Tickets are available on a sliding scale to promote inclusivity and accessibility. We offer limited “supported” tickets at a lower price for community members who might otherwise be unable to attend. Please choose the ticket price that makes this event accessible to you. If you’d like to support event accessibility, consider purchasing a “benevolent” ticket, which helps subsidize lower-price options. All ticket types provide the same access to the event.

This class is open to members only. If you don’t have your membership yet, you can sign up online or come by to see the space on one of our social nights and sign up in person. We would love to see you! A temporary membership is also available for 24 hours for $10 at the door. 

Miss Patience Plush is a black & Indigenous non binary burlesque artist and instructor. They were been a dancer for 10 year prior to discovering their love for the art of tease . They’ve taught classes such as All Levels Burlesque , Accessibli-TEASE ( an accessible burlesque workshop ) and are prepping for 2025 with their new improv burlesque weekly class! Miss Patience Plush is here to spread body positivity , BIPOC excellence and non binary queer joy through the art of burlesque .
